Now in the middle of rebuilding the hub and swivel. I ordered the wrong swivel kit to start. Returned it for the correct one (pre 93) and the correct one came with no swivel seal retaining plates. I just got the plates delivered this morning….wrong ones. I now need to wait on the correct ones being delivered :(. Bit of a PIA, but the supplier have been good at dealing with the issues. What I didn’t understand though is they told me the kit doesn’t come with the seal retaining plates. I would so they are key components and should be included!! Why would you reuse rusty plates o_O

I’ve also ordered a new tubular outrigger that goes just behind the fuel tank. That should be interesting fitting that as it goes through the chassis.

engine shat the fanbelt:rolleyes:

but, the brakes work:D:D:D

this engine has eaten a few fanbelts since we've had it, pulleys look aligned and evrything runs freely:confused:

no problem as theres a different motor going in:cool:

Timing belt on my 200tdi. What a nightmare. Sheered off 3 bolts and had to drill them out. The water pump was stuck on the timing cover and the timing cover was stuck on the timing case. Got them off but took me yesterday and today. Got the belt on now and I’ll build it back up tomorrow. I’ll need to source replacement bolts though. I’m doing away with the stupid studs at the top and using long bolts of the correct length.
