Painted the rims today. Also tried to replace the stupid Lucas diff switch. What a piece of cheap junk. Still doesn’t work and now I have two broken switches. Bah.
ready for the engine swap tomorrow...
200tdi here we go...Rich.
I see you now have power steering
empty space....
starting to fill the 'ole...
it starts, runs and drives foreward / reverse so thats a win?
also....
F'kin Landrovah.
engine in BUT why the differences between 2.5D Ninety & 200tdi?
bought (@ great expense!) a genuine LR 200tdi fuel return pipe (from IP to tank), fits the IP BUT different thread on the tank
W-Anchor.
the 200tdi engine loom plugs into the 2.5d Ninety's main loom, no dice with the alternator / charge light on dashboard (was previously tested when running the engine on the floor)
turbo heatshield 'touches' the bonnet (military jobbie with strengtheners for spare-wheel if that matters?) - sorta wondered about this and looked for one @ Newbury but....
theres more, like fitting pas....
but thats another rant
Rich.

one-hand light steering now
opposed to two-handed struggling
but I'm struggling to fit the metal pipework neatly across the front crossmember - whatever I do looks messy & I dont want them rubbinhg or fracturing
Rich.
On mine there’s two W shaped clips, one each side, that clamp the two metal pipes to the back of the front x-member. It would be part 13 in this diagram.YUP

Four weeks of standing and they’re looking a bit tatty - bit poor for 2yr old rotors….Just new disks now
Here you go @Zed.Thankyou for this, sorta what I was expecting (guessing mostly)
I've been searching google for photo's but most are from the front
Rich.
If you want I can take pictures of the factory routing tomorrow. I’m pretty sure the larger pipe is on the top.Thankyou again
unfortunately (for me?) it seems that.....
the routing I've found is opposite
Rich. (fighting ocd or stupidity with Offender pas pipework)
