Blinking Ek, if the impact was bad enough for the belts to break your ribs, sounds like the car did a good job of keeping you alive!I'm on my 3rd Freelander 1 TD4 this year! Had a 2003 Commercial, which I parted with in January after buying a 2005 SE 5door, that was written off on 6th June, when a 78 year old man driving a Range Rover Evoque, fell asleep at the wheel while on the other side of the road, coming towards me, hit me head on. Luckily I only had broken ribs from the seat belt!! In July I bought a 2004 5 dr HSE, which has done 111k miles.
Took about 6 weeks for the bruising to disappear. Yes, I reckon I was quite lucky, I could open my door and get out. The guy in the Evoque had to have his door removed by the Fire Brigade to get him out.Blinking Ek, if the impact was bad enough for the belts to break your ribs, sounds like the car did a good job of keeping you alive!
