Lol cheers peeps.

Ill check out the ones on powerfuluk. The misses def needs side steps on the car because it won't be long before she knackers the edge of the seats.

Yeah,

but seriously.. access mode? the button on the drivers door..

alternatively lower the car using the height selector & leave it lowered. worst case you forget to raise & it'll do it automatically. (don't know how good this would be for the compressor long term)

My mrs uses the sidesteps, i have the ones from powerfuluk installed..

some one commented a few pages back that "who actually uses sidesteps"

i'm 6ft 4 & i'll use sidesteps to get in because as mentioned it prevents you ass####ing the side of your seats.

i've seen some RR's where this is such a problem the seat button panel actually fell off (including my last L322)
 
I use the access button but if your passengers hoping out to go into a shop or your dropping someone off they don't understand that they have to wait and open the door before its down.

In the long run the steps will prevent and damage and people moaning the cars to high.

Fair comment,

the steps will partially solve this, but..changing the way people get in and out of the car goes a long way.. i'd personally rather replace a grab handle or two than the seats.
 
Think there's already an issue there anyway as last time I dropped it down it came up with the EAS inactive message when it tried to go back up.

Maybe ill just get a rope ladder that deploys for small people as they open the door.
 
If you keep dropping the car to access level, you'll only wear our the compressor quicker lol

Should I fit an alternative sort of power so I don't wear out the engine??
When you open the door there are decent 'tread plates' to tread on so that if you're vertically challenged you don't have to dive from the pavement on to the edge of the seat. My 4 year old manages this very easily.
I suppose fitting side steps would help you get stuff on to the roof rack.:)

That probably means somethings wrong with your eas. If you want it kept at one height you should join the coil conversion club.:mad:

dropping the car into access mode means the car has alot more pumping to get it back up to standard height.

motorway mode only drops the EAS very slightly as compared to dropping to access mode

I foolishly thought access mode was a feature built in for access.
If the eas system is in good nick, then using the eas features won't destroy the compressor.:rolleyes:

If your not going to use the features a RR offers then why get one in the first place?
These features are designed for showroom appeal, you are not supposed to use them.:rolleyes: Range Rovers are designed for rich people, they are supposed to be kept in an airconditioned garage and polished once a week by the butler.:) Any other sort of use will lead to problems:eek:
Of course the compressor will wear out if you use it, the more you use it the quicker it will wear out:)

Absolutely,

Just because i refuse to change over to LPG, and pay main dealer prices it doesn't make me "rich" i'm just not trying to run a fancy car on a shoestring budget.

my grey one is gone, and my black ones on it's way out in time for us to emigrate.

this year, i've lost enough money on those two to buy a third, factor the cost of insurance, tax and fuel.. that's probably a fourth.

as dissapointed as i get at the loss of thousands of pounds, it is after all: "only money"
 
Too right,

I'm not rich but i use my RR as i wish & when something stops working the way it should i get it sorted so that i can continue using as i wish.
If i didn't use all functions as i want, when i want, i would probably soon get fed up of owning an old RR :)
