Crap, I think my fuel injection pump is finally giving up the ghost....
After an hour of driving the pump isn't responding to the pedal very well unless I switch it off and it's restored. I did think a seizing turbo mechanism but I'm not convinced.
A thorough mooch around the engine bay is needed to check connections... No leaks, (rare I know), no untoward signs... When starting from cold if the accelerator pedal is held at 2000rpm and let go the engine will almost stall then recover but never when hot.
As well as the cold weather faster than lighting engine warning flash light on power let off... I suppose after 255k it's got to give up at some point... The modulation is at 59% it was at 50 when the pump was adjusted at 180k. So....
Chain set and bits,
Gearbox and now the fuel pump.. Still cheaper than buying another P38 and doing it all again
