Greetings…
Haven’t done a thing to my 92 today…
But Saturday … got to go to our local British car show…

Finally got a bit of engine bay cleaning done - a lot of dusty stuff brushed free and the aircon pipes fairly easily turning from black to silver.

Also thanks to @kermit_rr 's help and advice I finally managed to get the rather worn drivebelt off. Just hope I don't mangle the new one getting it on later.

Still waiting on refurbed heads, still got manifold to clean.

Took the oil filler cap off and that make no difference to the exhaust leak.
Had a good look round the manifold from above and underneath, even with a mirror, can't see any sign of trouble anywhere!! Need to tow my bike to trackday again on Friday :(

It's it easy enough to engage the starter without the key, without starting the engine? If i can whizz it round a few times with my head under the bonnet, might help me to identify the exhaust leak

Pull the fuel pump relay and bridge the starter relay (couple of bits of wire with spades and a switch is the posh way).
But with the noise I dont think it will help;).

The remaining Front Calliper and flexi done :)

My god those gubbing screws are a nightmare. Were all different sizes had to use 2 sacrificial sockets get them out in one piece  fashion new ones so holes align, turbo pipes off to get AF spanner and my gigantic banana hands in there. Didn’t kink the micro bore?
would have been so nice to just chop it off but in one piece gives @Bix more options. If you still need front calliper it’s here ready for you just need to find a box?
Axle seal that side looking bit leaky :( looks like the springs will come out without too much of a battle and UJ clips are starting to pop out so not all bad :)
You didn't fancy going braided flexi lines then mate?? fit and forget.

Bought some jenolite to treat some surface rust on my chassis.

And filled it up today, got a compliment from a gent in an L405 as he was filling at the adjacent pump..

Got chatting with him, distracted only intended to put £40 in it, ended up having the pump click off at £110 :confused::D

Oh well, guess I'll be dailying the P38 for this week! :D
You should of asked him to pay for the extra fuel. LOL. Them L405 owners are loaded. LOL.

Today I learned how to get the most out of your parking ticket.
You open the cap to top up the brake fluid then gasp as the pedal drops to the floor  found old bottle in a bush some chopped EAS line (is perfect) and cracked the callipers in parking lot. The looks people give you!!:( Brakes are fine after 1/2 litre! run through but clutch is now heavier as it should be possibly may need new neck

Even with a lift pump now she is starting to get a bit hotstarty? Something makes me feel it’s the CPS sensor. I’ve lived through hotstarts, no lift pump, QS and chain stretch yet this seems slightly different.
Choices currently are Lucas, Lemark or Kerr Nelson, any views on these?

I've replaced half the sensors on the Alfa with Lemark. They've been fine.

Just plug it, easy fix
It is more spite. I don't want to pay for their laziness. 2nd time I've had FOD imbedded in my tyres in as many months. First time I turned a blind eye because I was already getting new tyres. The site rep (mod housing upgrades) is coming into work tomorrow just to see how he can satisfy me.

No doubt they'll refuse to pay for repairs, but if they just sweep up after themselves that'd be nice.
