No, it was the yanks, there was a very interesting TV program about it some time ago
Do not whatever you do scrape the crap off your brake pipes, that will be all that is stopping them leaking:rolleyes:
My mate had a brake pipe let go on the MOT when they did the brake test on his L322 and I had the one that goes across h back axle on my P38 let go when I did an emergency stop:eek:
I have three coils of 5/16 copper sat in the garage. Mate gave them to me when he moved back to London. Used one to redo the lines on a Renault Megane. Might be a summer project for the P38.

As I have to sometimes replace the brake pipes, I put copper in, seems the way to go, not had any trouble yet, and replaced the brake fluid with fully synthetic

After EIGHT years of being thoroughly rodgered with synthetic stuff, I would wager your seals are happy being regularly rodgered by fully synthetic fluid. That sounds SO WRONG in my head. So much so, that I will just hit the "Post Reply" tit....

Maybe they like a good rogering..... they ain't complaining anyway

Well at least its not viscous, is that the right word?) and soaks up the water, so its rusting away from the inside out

I looked at the price of a new set of rear air suspension bags. And then I put eBay away and went looking for a new P38 for sale.....
