What did you do with your Range Rover today

I have ripped the dash out, changed the blend motors, changed the heater O rings, replaced the screw for an Allen headed cap bolt. While the HEVAC unit was out, I replaced the ribbon cable for the silicon zebra connector.

Just showing off now...:p:p

The dash was actually a lot easier than expected, once it's off, everything is easy to get to :)

I also forgot, I lubed up all the flapper arms in the heating box with some lithium grease. My blend motor had jammed due to a seized shaft.

Agree.. did mine a few weeks ago and it's not that bad to do, just time consuming and a mass of screws and wires to put back. But once out an eye opener to all the jobs that can be done.
I made one mistake though, thought I would tape up all the ducting to help make it more efficient. Mistake.. somewhere in there is a gap in the tape, that now whistles when the fan comes on past 2 bars.
(Leave stuff alone. Lesson)

Yeah, I got as much tape on things as I could get my hands in, I haven't had the chance to try it out yet due to the engine FUBAR.

Fixed my washer jets. Ever since I bought it the rear washer hasn't worked. Pushing the stalk forward did the front window, back did nothing, and pushing the button did the headlights. After swapping the wires round the various pumps I now have them working correctly. Except for the headlight washers which now refuse to operate.

Headlight washers only work every third time windscreen washers used ( I think )

Yesterday, ran a new cruise control vacuum pipe in to replace the old Swiss cheese like one .........cruise control still doesn't work☹️
Can you hear the relay clicking when you switch it on and off?
Is the light on on the dash switch?
Could be brake switch needs resetting

washing it too hard by looks of it

I did read your headlining thread long ago before I joined. I actually ended up pulling 1/2 off at a time, hoovering it, then sprayed it in vehicle and used a paint roller to spread it back on  It looks terrible if you stare at it, otherwise you won't notice and better than having a ghost flapping in back :D

I did adopt your peg idea with clamps to bond my smashed grill back together after seeing the thread. Lesson - your grille will break if you roll your P38 over!

Hat off to you mate, it's a good how to on a very, very common problem that is expensive to sub out
