Back up & running again!
Cheers fella, that was a real grueller but got there in the end.Well done matey
It is a 2002 CL55 C215 (W215 for weirdos in Murica). So when Merc decided reliability cost too much to engineer. I should've know better, but a V8 makes me smile more than boobies.Depends which Merc you got. Is it a true Merc or a Chrysler/Daimler AG? I had a gorgeous 1995 Merc E200 (W124), which never let me down. Only traded her for a Disco because the dog was struggling to get in the back seat.

The way of the world I suppose . I am assured by a man at Merc that new ones are just as reliable as the old ones, but it still isn't going to get me buying another one, unless I am buying classics.Yep such a shame that their merger with Chrysler brought around that type of thinking. I kind of fell out of lust with Merc once they changed to slanty headlights. Still a nice drive and I can see why the V8 makes you smile. I still miss my V8 Disco.
Considering the two vehs you decided on, do you go out in the morning and pray at least one of them will have a day without issues
My Rangie has been OK, no major issues so far. Will have to investigate why the driver side heated door mirror is constantly on when driving
