Paid the main stealer £1600 pounds to get her back, after a nightmare with independants and four months off the road. Ah well at least she's home.

One wiper blade and emptied the ash trays.Jesus f*cking Christ. What did they do? New engine?
Nope that was quoted at £9000 last year, needless to say didn't get it from them. They replaced compressor and refitted trim taken out by incompetents at HK Autotek, Stevenston. HK had it 3 months and couldn't find fault, kept wanting different parts. 2 of the 3 months were spent by me trying to get the beast back from the *ssh%les. Had to threaten with lawyer and police to finally get them to give me a bill and release it.Parks had it one day and diagnosed it.Jesus f*cking Christ. What did they do? New engine?

£1000 for an EAS compressor and some trim studs?
£1600.00 somebody has been seriously seen coming.
Took out drivers seat to repair heat eliment, only to find previous owner had gone all the way to strip the seat down and then decided just to rip out the heating eliment. No wonder changing the fuse didnt work !!!!. Found spare base with eliment, fixed the broken wire with a jumper and replaced seat. little tip, replace the hog rings with small zippy ties, less hastle and quicker.
Big long story but the ending of it was "had no choice but to deal with the stealers".£1600.00 somebody has been seriously seen coming.

Busy week this week, Monday night I changed the compressor mounts, they didn't look bad taking them of so I wasn't hopeful but my god the new ones have made a massive difference. Its no longer sounds like its trying to get out of the bonnet! I also changed the passenger side door latch as mentioned on another thread to great success even if the sill latch is a royal pain in the bum to get back onto the latch mechanism.
Also dreaded MOT day tomorrow - I believe the anti roll bar drop links need changing so they are on the passenger seat ready in case they are needed.
I think I'd be heading back after dark with matches and accelerant to get my monies' worth.
