I would check the connector blocks at the base of the A posts while you have it stripped down if they haven't been cut out.Carpet out! Now the drying off and cleaning of things begins. Might even tart up a few interior bits while it's all apart too.

Oh, why so many wires and cables you ask? DVD player and old Nokia hands free kit. That'll be coming out.

Found water getting into the pollen filters again!! Not sure where, there's a pool of water under the cover yet the cover isn't leaking as it was dusty dry, neither was the screw above the cover, rusty but very dry
The quality on the paint work warranted further inspectionAnd I thought I had eyes like a poo house rat, well spotted mate.
That's where they got to!The quality on the paint work warranted further inspection
I’m sure there’s a pair of Kermit wellies on the back shelf
Don't like the sound of thatWindscreen leak ?
Don't like the sound of that
What aircon? If you have used the Air con recently, have a look at the aircon drains..
They're the concertina affair tubes that run down the side of the tranny tunnel, they can close up and cause moisture from the aircon system to spill into the car...
While you're at it crawl underneath and run a bit of tube up the drains to clear them out, they're two rubber bungs up beside the gearbox..
You'll need a torch to find 'em
HmmWhat aircon?
Didn't have a condenser rad when i bought it, finally got round to buying one but it doesn't fit and need to take it back
suppose there could be, never figured how all that plastic comes off thoughHmm
Any crap in the skuttle under the plastic ?
I just cut the connectors out, soldered the wires and heat shrinked the join.I think @brianp38dse used an in line connector which solders and heat shrinks in one.Yep. Had checked them before removing the carpet and they looked okay however, with the carpet removed there's a lot more space and leeway with the cables so can have a better look.
Wouldn't you know.. Can now see there *is* corrosion.
Lots of ways to police out connectors, what are people doing here when removing them? Just twist, solder and hestshrink or?
