I expect not to be ripped off!! And to use a screwdriver for all of 15 seconds to me isn't chargeable.... it's called customer service, and loyalty to the customer you haveDo you expect people to do something for nothing?
Cheers

i guess there are targets/national averages. if you pass too many vehicles first time then you attract attentionThat is now very commonplace and I ask the same question.
I don't expect something for nothing, but when theres no real cost to the garage, either through time or skill, doing something for nothing makes the customer feel looked after, who then goes on to tell friends and colleagues about the good customer service. I've had MOT tester swap a bulb for me, even tighten a bolt once. He does a very thorough MOT on my bikes and I have complete faith in the guy. That said, I *always* offer to pay for any extras/time etcDo you expect people to do something for nothing?

Time to look for somewhere else.TBH they didn't even get the MOT right, he put a defective window screen on the pass, with defects, its is a stone chip that has had a repair, instead of asking if it has been fixed, he just put a defect down
I suppose if he mots it, it's a one fee to check the whole car over and then repair all what needs to be done at the same time.Where i used to go for car mot, same place i used to get tyres.
Needed both at the same time so asked for both, he said he'd to the mot first fail it and then replace the tyres
Why? What's the point?
The MOT place I use are happy to make adjustments FOC to get the car passed, I also get trade ratesMy very good m8 has just given up doing MOT's shame he just used to say do this or that and always pass it, I will miss that, so took the wifes car in, and the MOT shop tried to sting me for £10 adjusting one headlight, took me 15 secs with a screwdriver, and £15 to fit wiper blades.. X2 so £30, drove home had a set in the shed changed them went back for a pass, dam these bots like to charge you for sure!! Saved £40
Niiiice
I get my inspections foc and I tell the mot station what I've foundThe MOT place I use are happy to make adjustments FOC to get the car passed, I also get trade rates
We have a 100l at the unit and the windy gun has it running with around 10s usage and it drives me batty so I'm currently replacing all my air tools with cordless.Anyone got any recommendations on an air compressor? I was thinking maybe one of the little 24L ones, like a Clarke or Airmaster. Thoughts?
Good until the batteries fail when just ut of warranty. We have a 100l at the unit and the windy gun has it running with around 10s usage and it drives me batty so I'm currently replacing all my air tools with cordless.
The cordless impact wrench is massively better than the air version!
Went for a fairly long drive. At low revs and in torque lockup, engine seems to be missing/lumpy fine at higher revs.
Guess i need to pull the plugs and have a looksee

take it out again and give it some work, ( drive it like you stole it)
Then see if you need to bend over and suffer taking out the plugs
