Cool, Wish mine looked as clean as that. I have no leaks but mine is quite manky under there. Each year when I get home and off the stands I always say to myself must get it cleaned underneath and then the weather is crap and the weeks pass by and she's back on the stands again.Checked for leaks tooo,,,
yep eyes are not deceiving there really aren't any drips
OopsChanged the diff oil..
Heard a "clunk" into my drain pan, which was a piece of crown wheel.
And the oil was like tar and i magnetic.
those are chunks, and metallic paste
Oil was horrible.
diff rebuild added to the list!
Indeed!Oops
Rusty UJ?Oil and filter change. I'm trying to make up my mind if the rear prop is showing a different colour mud at the diff end and therefore might be showing the first sign of a possible leak.
Maybe mud is drier in one end?Oil and filter change. I'm trying to make up my mind if the rear prop is showing a different colour mud at the diff end and therefore might be showing the first sign of a possible leak.
Yeah but most of them are plastic fantastic land roversDrove it to England!
Not for a great purpose.
Every other 11th person owns a landrover? I've never seen so many.
Rusty UJ?
Unless it’s a tiny weep from the brake lines in over the axle, or diff, there’s nothing else around there I should hope? Seems too far for any other back end fluidNo rust. It might just be where the excess grease was. I'll keep an eye on it. Diff level hasn't dropped as far as I could see.
It's on upside downsteering wheel next on the list..

Next time you are under there (or urchin) clean it up and will be much easier to monitor
