so the new screws are almost identical to the old. Apart from the fact they are self tapping.. But not an issue.

Out with old and on with the new!

thus stuff can be cut with a good pair if scissors and formed by hand really easily.

and there was 18 screws in the packet which replaced all of them including the pollen filter caps:cool:

Just for reference to size and they screw in perfectly. ;)

Very easy with a pair of tin snips. I can give you a link to the perforated alloy I used which being flat fits using the wire retaining frame that held the foam. I also fitted it over the 2 end openings where there was no foam, that needs a couple of self tapping screws. I posted some photo's I think but as the search is not working I can try to find them and re-post if you wish.

Looks good but harder work than using the flat stuff

I did the same and covered the ends as well. Seems daft to put sponge on the middle and leave the ends open..

Fizzy gearboxes were easy! Only 4 speed.
Pain in the butt getting all the shafts to line up when you put case back together though!
Round file on the disc valve worked wonders for a bit more poke though!

Lucas is as shyte as the original. They should all have a 1000cca 120ah type 31 imo. It just makes everything work properly and dependable. I stand by Datatek’s recommendation of batterymegastore.co.uk version. I bought the wrong one and it cost me a little extra.

@Doo has the same stuff as that, is inside his vehicle too. I think it looks okay but I do prefer Keith’s.
