'you mite water to introduce svo as well as I ran my old car for 50k with no issues on it neat same pump and injectors but no harm in the p38 at 50\50 mix'
Wassat mean?! sorry, a few technical terms in there I no unnerstan… svo?

Svo = straight vegetable oil, makes your rangie smell like a chip shop tis nice:D

I ran svo a few times and the car seamed quieter idle better and run a bit smoother, but the they contend on to it and put the price of veg oil up so it was not much cheaper.

Just used it to take our big boy on his final ride. R.I.P Coby

SVO = straight vegetable oil as in fresh new cooking oil currently for sale at my local cash and carry at £15 for 20 litres, you can just add it to your fuel tank no modification needed stick 20 litres of pump diesel in then pour 20 litres of svo in you save a tenner every time

Bugger, being one of those people whose fuel gauge sender has given up ghost and constantly has the light on and the warning on the dash (yes I know how to clear it and do whenever I start the beast) but is too tight to spend a hefty amount to have it fixed as I lack the facilities to do it myself. I went and filled up today. Every time I fill up I reset the trip counter so when it gets to 200 miles or close I know I have to fill up. (I do keep a full 20 ltr container in the back just in case). It now costs the equivalent of 43 quid to put 92 litres in the beast. Not happy, But still puts a smile on my face when I think that the Rover 75 that I drive around France in costs me 75 euros to put just 50 ltrs in. Yes I have to compare apples with apples before any of you get on with the difference of capacity and car type. Just moaning its now over 40 quid to fill it up but I know I will now get people ranting and raving how lucky I am it costs just that much. Just don't get me started on my 50 quid insurance
