What did you do with your Range Rover today

It wasn’t actually today but!! Connections and positions don’t always allow posting.
The OH picked up this, I know it looks like an advert for a trailer company:)

We have nothing to do with them, just like the trailer, it can carry bikes too (I am in trouble now)

That jockey-wheel is a bit low isn't it? Nice trailer. Would be nicked in 5 minutes round here and never seen again.

It was halfway to being taken off, promise we don’t drive like that.

Good job it’s not there then, the rules here are very strict for cars and trailers.

I changed all the rubber seals in the front suspension valve block , hardest part was getting the two bolts back in the plastic bracket that holds the oil cooler without removing bumper (RR sport sc.)

The Flipping eck lad you don’t do owt by half, I feel for you about this time after three rounds of f**ks and hammer through garage window, I’d have been sat wi mi head in mi hands aving a breakdown :(
It gets worse :D Finally got the broken easy out out. Check hole, looks ok. OK now to tap a thread. Nice and easy does it. In 2 turns then back as I don't want this jamming. Third time going forwards it sticks. I gently try to ease it either way SNAP. F**K ME!!!!

I did drink a bottle of port :confused:o_O

Tried to redrill it with cobalt bits - no chance. Feck it. Fill hole with metal putty, let it set and drill & tap. Short bolt now all done.

Bought replacement transfer motor (24 hours from ebay - good eh?) ran it on 9v & 12v all ok.

Ok let's take a look inside to see if that little plastic stopper thingy is ok or cracked in half like mine was. Penetrating oil on screws first, cup of tea, return to undoing the star screws.
Cover off, ah ha! Stopper thingy is completely shattered! Good job I checked. Repaired one is now fitted and araldited so even if it does crack it won't shatter everywhere.

So all cleaned out, re greased, reassembled, refitted. Low ratio change over still only works when the engine/car is cold.... New Transfer ecu ordered £10 - easy :D

Hopefully sorted on a good result there. On a more happy note, went out to start Betsy and battery completely flat, second time round into weeks. Cant be a coincidence, now starts the detective work.

Touched up the peeling paint on the door frame. Put some heat on the steering bar to try and free it off. No joy.

And today my brake pedal switch failed - TC & ABS lights on the dash. Removed old one, ordered new one. Wait out
Noticed that matrix o -rings are leaking again whilst removing the trim for the brake pedal switch. Not bad lasted 4 years - probably because of the overheat when the water pump blew
Heater box flaps need doing anyway so o rings at the same time

On a good note Rommel did 150 miles of family bussing around Friday & Saturday with no problems at all. I know it's a diesel but gassing it on the M56 and zooming past people at a little over the speed limit with 5 adults in it is a hoot when I see their faces :D:cool:

And no black smoke cloud on kickdown any more:)

Sat for half an hour with a multimeter connected to the battery watching the volts go up and down in cycles with everything closed down. Disconnected the RF wire, cleaned and blew out the ignition barrel,( " key in ignition " message kept coming). So now searching for bad earth's and loose connectors. But the sun's out in Kernow today and the kettles on, so worse ways to spend a morning

By how much was the voltage going up and down?
