Seen this thread so many times I thought, as an owner, it was time to post a reply.
The answer is absolutely nothing, not being a daily driver the old girl just sits there quietly appreciating in value but always starts when needed ;)

Stripped and repaired tailgate switch using wire coat hanger to make new spring. Thanks for all the info on here on that. Also put new battery on from battery megastore. Think it was Datatek that pointed me to the beast of a battery. Hankook 115AH 1000CCA £100 delivered. Starts first click now. Finally fitted new switchpack for windows after over a year of not being able to wind windows down. thanks again for all the help guys.

I can point you at a low cost water proof, ice proof replacement for the boot button should the need arise.

Finally drilled the heater box, sprayed loads of GT85, cleared the faults, resealed - crossed fingers. Voila! No faults found on HEVAC! Lovely stink of GT85 though hahaha.
Lubricated drivers window mechanism through the top of the door, no more anti-trap errors.
Fitted Osram nightbreaker dip/main bulbs.
Tightened up all the loose self tappers on the tailgate.
Ordered new steering damper to match the new airbags and shocks.

Prepping for big round trip to Lincolnshire this week, (Horse trials at Burghley, sponsored by Landrover, so gonna compare Betsy to the new Velar, or whatever it's called. Let's see yours matey in 21 years time..). Unfortunately washed and polished a bit too vigorously..and knocked one of the front mudguards off. Looks like it was held on with what used to be metal, but looks like a big cornflake now. High speed fabrication tomorrow...

After a weekend playing with my 90 AKA "The shed" finally got round to fitting a new speedo cable to Buttercup.
Jesus H Christ, what a fecking drama I made of that, struggling to get the new cable through behind the dash managed to knock out half the fecking dash warning bulbs.
All good now I think but only I can do something "the easy way" and turn a half hour job into 4 hours of cussing and swearing.

Did you see that Lego Bugatti they built? The engine is way more robust, apparently!

very nice, wouldn't fancy having a crash in it though ;):D

The RV8 makes a nice noise!!

its tendency to

leak like a sieve

drink like a MOFO

and be hilariously unreliable is just part of its character and charm :p ;)

The diesels are reliable, and everyone knows that boring!! :D:D
