Indeed, but I could have been a bit quicker getting there as she would have kicked down a bit quicker and held onto the lower gears a bit longer so I could have squeezed an eighth of a second faster en route to catching up with the Porsches and Beemer Erm Dubble You's :p
If you plant your foot on the floor and activate the kickdown switch it will do exactly the same as being in sports mode.

Today I replaced the indicator switch on the red one and the caliper slide pins on the black one. Also took the rear drag rod off it ready for when the new one arrives.started it for the first time for months, love the V8.

hit 195k
So another 6 L-R glowplugs in.
Took advantage of the inlet being off and cleaned out all boost pipes and intercooler. Washed out all the grub that had built up in the rad fins.
New inlet temp sensor.
Nice shiney new jubilee clips on all the boost pipes most of its solid pipe work now.
2new dipstick o rings.

whiling away a few hours waiting for the sprayer to phone with the OK. Decided to make a couple of small repairs around the door pull on the l/h rear door panel, used super glue and baking powder as seen on the tube. Absolutely magic trick, sinks into the foam in the crack and sets off in seconds, file down high spots and repeat. Just need to colour it in at some stage.
Then my mate rang to say its ready for pick up in the morning, YYYYAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY :p:p:p:p
Did warn me I should have me sunglasses handy, deffo wont be loosing it in the supermarket car park. :D:D:eek::eek::):)

Once again just drove her to the Rock and back. I suddenly realised, this morning, she hadn't been anywhere since Thursday. This should not be a worry but it struck the fear of RR gods into me. I am still getting used to turn the key and the engine starts. Ahhhhhh bisto..............
