We use the bilt hamber clay. we have used autoglym too, and nothing wrong with either - the bilt hamber is better value in our experience.

IMHO it is not abrasive - it is sticky. its called "clay" - but I doubt it comes out of the ground. Proper lube is paramount ( isn't it always :D) - and we use autoglym rapid detailer, but there are literally hundreds of different ones, from Dodo Juice to .... your favourite search engine will enlighten you..

It does not affect paint work at all - only removes all the little bits of grit and crud from it - in basic terms, the paint will feel new after being clayed.

And defo use the two bucket wash method - unless you do, you are not washing the car, you are trashing the paint:rolleyes:

What is the two bucket method mate?
 
I have also used Iron-X to pull the iron out of the paintwork before using a clay bar. Very weird watching it go pink as it reacts. Its also the mutts nuts for getting your wheels clean its what I primarily use it for.

This slightly bonkers, (in the nicest possible way ), but pretty funny guy, on yu toob, will show you how ......:)



He has a lot of very useful videos up about paint correction and such too - is acknowledged within the detailing world as something of a guru.:)

Radio on, switched on lights and radio moves to screen only and nothing works.
Switch off lights and all back to normal.
Is there a feed of lights that lights up the radio or does something else.
Safe a lot of time if any info on this but should get it sorted with multimeter.
 
Think having all the windows open on my journey back from Wales has made the head lining suffer. It's gone really saggy at nearside rear :(

You can make a cut into it (is it the original liner?) and get spray glue and patch it back, it will hold for a bit, but seems you might have to replace it, not a bad job to do, but will take 1/2 a day
 
Was planning a cut and spray mount/glue. It's more like a big bubble...but looks awful.

Just don't have the space to do a replacement myself :(
 
You can do it outside your house, only room you need is to lay it flat, if you have that, then you have the room

Replaced the viscous fan, thanks to a post a read on here some time ago that it would need to be changed at some point.

Runs cooler than it ever did, and roars like a champ now ;)

Should only roar for few seconds pulling away when cold. If it's roaring all the time you have problems.
 
What I did to my RR today?

I drove it like a boss :cool:

Air Con on freeze the nuts off, stereo on 26 (stock speakers are "HOLY SH!T" awesome) and foot down on way to/from work.

George is the best car I have ever owned in as much as she is immaculate and nothing needs upgrading.

I keep being told the colour is unusual and really suits her.

Range Rover, YEAH! :D
