Next time I may try leaving the charger off.

Only time mine failed was when i went up to lads place one night no problem switched off locked car. Battery lost a cell in about an hour. Alarmed out of sync, the full bloody monty when i tried to start it. Then the new battery went knackered after a week or so took it back and changed it no bother since.

I really shouldn't have a problem, good battery and a second remote to isolate the r/f. I'll have to man up and give it a go.

Changed the rear airsprings. First one was a PITA getting the top mount off. A pry bar & a lot of sweat (mixed with rain) finally popped it out. First one took about 2 hours. The second about 30 minutes.

OK, I have now owned 4.0 S.E GEMS for 2 months, so far I have replaced 2 rear air bags, discs and pads all round, changed engine oil and filter, air filter and plugs, had the remote locking and key sorted under warranty by DAS landrover (although I didn't buy it from them), still to do ATF and filter the diff oil and transfer oil. And today just had a set of Scorpion zeros put on 255/60/18s

Got back from Cornwall last night from me summer holes, towed the tin tent , done over a thousand miles in the last two weeks the old girl didn't miss a beat, mind you she sucked in more than 300 quids worth of petrol.

Lovely county.

I saw that blue Overfinch-like Rangie with the funny plates on the Lizard Common last night. Same as last year.

Got put on lockdown at work so decided to use the empty workshop and replace the glowplugs. I should have taken photos to make a guide. But I wanted to get it finished before we had to move. Makes a big difference having working plugs.

It also looks like the garage I paid to replace them 4 years ago only replaced 4 of the 6 as the hardest 2 to remove appeared to be of a complete different brand and looks to be in worse condition.

All 6 are now Bosch. Should be good for a few years. Had them sat waiting to go in for months. Haha.

[Edit: I got the plugs September last year... I am a lazy bastard.]

My wife and I paid a visit to the lizard last week, I go there just to have one of Ann's famous party's , can't believe how busy It gets there now, any way funny you should say that I did spot a blue Rangie with a lot of bling on it on the way there from our camp site in Truro , could be the same one, mind you over the course of our two week holiday I only spotted two P38 s all together, plenty of L322 and I saw a couple on the back of brake down vehicles.
