Take some ropes & halters, those horses are big enough to tow the P38 when it breaks down:rolleyes::D:D:D

Hahaha she wont brake down no reason too haha. I expected to brake down every week with a rangie and nope bit of tlc and mechanical sympathy and all i can complain about is the whistling door seal

Over 70 mph? Mine does that but I thought it was the windscreen wiper.

Cough, 70 mph indicated on speedo. :)

Thats why i don't lock it save the hassle of damage or broken glass. Just hooked on the horsetrailer away to Sunderland to pick up 2 shire horses 350miles each way

They cost more than the P38 to run. Worked with a guy who had one to pull his caravan and it ate a massive amount each day. In the end he swapped it for a Shetland Pony!

Haha we have a few animals like. These are for my mum though not me n missus. And over 65 its the door seals and in wild wind and rain you can see water run down the frame of door and down the front the doorcard whistle changes with window open or speed or direction of wind. Got the choice take the 08 mazda bt 50. Horrible as a tow car on leaf sprung rear end and just a horrible ride or take my own motor and mum pays my fuel

Well 740miles withs trailer attached never missed a beat good old rangie :) one thing i have just thaught and noticed iv no tell tale on dash for trailer indicators should i? Its connected in the proper conector through becm

Hi Stu,
When I tow the tin tent I get the high pitched bleep and lights on the dash when indicating, perhaps yours has not been wired for that?
Paul.

Mabye im not sure i know the wires from the tow bar socket go into a plug by the o/s rear cluster. Its not a worry like i check everything's ok before i leave. Just noticed some motors do

You should get a flashing green trailer sign with the indicators if it's wired correctly.

Whistling from the top of the door? mine did that when i picked it up then 2 days later driving on the motorway in heavy rain i got a free shower on my arm.
Fixed it by lowering the glass, open the door and sit sideways on the seat pull the door against your knees and bend the top of the window frame towards you with a couple of firm tugs.
Absolutely perfect now.

Away to try that haha

Now you have me:confused: Just checked owners manual, it shows it below the glowplug lamp, not sure it's correct though.

Okay dude nothing appers as a pre check light. Mabye its gone dead haha. No audible sound apart from normal click clak. All works so not a biggie really.

It is on the left set of warning lamps of the instrument binacle on the bottom row. Far right one I think, nearest the odometer.

I'm not sure they all come with it. Mine did but mine had full towing electrics with twin sockets. If not it is a standard V2 socket holder with one of those 286 lamps in.

It doesn't appear as a precheck light, only with the trailer lights plugged in and the indicator flashing. IIRC you get a beep too. Underneath the glowplug light sounds about right.

Cheers benthomas datatek and grrrrrr somthing for me to look into. Also need to sort my outer door trims they seem to be affa faded any suggestions?
