I find on mine it's best to put it in manual when driving on cruise or the slightest incline causes it to drop down a gear.
Cruise control isn't renowned for mpg, it just does whatever it needs to keep the speed correct.
My wife always gets better economy than I do because she doesn't like using cruise
I'm not sure cruise is working right on my car

Drove through a rather large puddle, making a very big splash and the 'water in fuel' warning came on the dash!! Parked up and when i came to it later on the day the message was gone. Do they self drain? Has the water been cycled back into the fuel tank?
Seemed a bit coincidental, could it be a dodgy wire?
Had you left that fuel cap off again🤨🤭

Did my drivers side lower arm (the bent/ twisted one) on my 4.2sc, also ball
Joint, did the passenger side a while ago and was a pain but not to bad, this side though, one bolt came out other rounded - stupid torx, then after getting it moving with chisel got that out, ball joint wouldn’t budge, two hours of chiselling and hammering until I got it spinning then it fell out, then new bolts wouldn’t go in (found two new hex bolts the same size) so ended up getting taps out and re tapping the hole, same size but clean the threads etc, Anyway all back together and drive great. For anyone doing the ball joint and not taking hub off to use presses etc definitely invest in set of good cold chisels and have a few spare bolts.

Started her up for the first time in 5 months, fired up first go, moved her out of the shed and gave it a wash down....... :)

Back in the shed now awaiting parts.

Fink is all related to the dpf delete and associated incorrect fuel map. Could be the egr doing funky things. Apparently.

Found 'Shrewsbury Remapping Service', not too far, maybe they can shed some light on what's been done, will contact them once they open
not used them as I run older stuff but there is a re mapping firm on rose hill industrial estate which may be worth a call/be more convenient depending where you are

Not so much on the car but tapped my spare expansion tank and put two lengths of threaded rod through ready to create my coolant level alarm. Used some Loctite so letting that set before I do any further testing. I'm on earlies for the next week though so it'll have to wait until next week now.

Do you mean super glue? Not sure that will last as it's got very low shear strength
