Drive it loads yesterday! Sat on the motorway in a 50 limit for miles.. mpg went up to 40!!!
How to you work out that your gas guzzling monster engine is kinder than a fuel miserly diesel Fiesta?Taxed it, it ran out a while ago oopsies ,
Robbing buggers 395 a year, it should be 30 a year and hear me out on my argument,
My mates 2005 diesel fiesta is non ulez but 35 a year to tax,
Mine is ulez compliant its kinder then his to baby polar bears and ice poles and all that,
Mines ulez compliant, mines low emissions friendly why should I be charged 10x his tax when his isnt
Mines ulez his isn't, so it must beHow to you work out that your gas guzzling monster engine is kinder than a fuel miserly diesel Fiesta?
ULEZ bullshyte, a W12 Bently Bentaga that does 9mpg is ULEZ compliant, make sense of that. It's a tax aimed at keeping the poor out of LondonMines ulez his isn't, so it must be

True, but the more fuel burnt, the greater the pollution even if the actual amount of pollution per litre burn is supposedly less on the compliant vehicles. The ULEZ is not setup on MPG.

So an older car that does 5 times the mileage on a litre of fuel than some of the massive engines common now is more polluting? Don't forget, these overpowered cars create more particulates from tyres and brakes, particularly true of electric cars.I didn't say it was right. Its the pollutant they gauge it on.
I wont be going in so don't care, that's not to say I don't care if you know what I mean. I am not a politician but there are probably better ways.
I see Shat Kan has now announced some sort of £2k claim/scrappage for those affected

Mines ulez being petrol but being 2006, nearly £700 a year tax! Keep telling myself it’s only twice the price as my td6 and a lot less than other country’s charge.Taxed it, it ran out a while ago oopsies ,

Makes people rich though. Stuff the environment, that just costs moneySo an older car that does 5 times the mileage on a litre of fuel than some of the massive engines common now is more polluting? Scrappage = more pollution created scrapping a good vehicle and manufacturing a new one especially if the new one is electric.
4.4tdv8Which engine?

ULEZ is all a money making scam . Always has been and always will be. Sheffield next to me perfect example, first month took over £250000 yes quarter of a million, and council loved it as it went straight into their coffersThe ULEZ is not setup on MPG.

I've had a similar argument with a friend who has a Megane. She does approx 7x my mileage. The emissions from the Magane are appox 110 compared to 299 approx from the L322. Which means she puts out, per annum, much more CO2 than I do.but pays a fraction of the road tax.Taxed it, it ran out a while ago oopsies ,

Could be done fairly with a tracker for those wishing to enter ULEZ on a regular basis. It would be fair to say it should be based on mileage... But as mileage can be faked and fibbed about. It's much easier for those who tax to say it does that, you own it, you obviously drive and you will pay for that.....
Injuste or mal fait !!
