well the drop links arrived, both the same make! one 'quality sealed' in a box, the other wrapped in a bit of paper
looks like an hour, 2 at most to replace? I'll do one side today.. other side other time :p

Just picked mine up from indy, new rear prop fitted and gearbox service with new zf pan and mechatronic seals. He said the old seals were flush, new ones couple of mm proud so needed doing. Thanks for heads up @Henry_b

Cast his eye over the rest, clean bill of health apart from a p0480 fan control circuit yaddayadda. I cleared that fault a couple of weeks ago thinking it was historic because the fan works...I think

Gearchanges much smoother, he drove it before and after and said I had a bit of TC judder 😬 I'd put it down to prop centre bearing. He used a tube of dr tranny (his equivalent anyway) and it does feel much better

I supplied parts, £225 labour with the TC additive 👍🏻

Coseley 4x4 near Bilston, they're enthusiasts as well, good vibes

whats a good oil change interval on the 4.4? the given 15,000 miles seems a bit mean to me, or is the oil really that good?
I was thinking doing an oil only change at 7-8k, not resetting the service interval than doing the next oil change with the oil filter and a reset?
6K miles for me on all vehicles. Not so long ago it was 3K miles for diesels.

Where the flip do you have in the middle? It all looks soft and scary
