How's life? How're the cars?Hello
Life ain't too bad at the moment, been betterHow's life? How're the cars?
€260 full comp for each of my P38's over here. What does everyone else pay for in-sewer-ants?
Bonne vacanceLeaving for landlegend 2023 tomorrow morning, four days of landrovers and camping!
Except after the last three times I've gone with my better half and the two young lads, I'm now going on my own
AUDI drivers seem to be the worst where I live, Arseholes Usually Deluded IdiotsMerc drivers are even worse
Yesterday I took it for an MOT - passed with some minor advisories like rear pads getting low, I'm happy with that!
Today I'll use it to return the borrowed bike trailer that we used to collect my brother's 1200GS with after some little scrotes helped themselves to it one evening! Didn't get it started, just did loads of damage and dropped it in the middle of a main road a mile or so away at 3am.
+1 ^^^^^^I wouldn't want to push one of them a mile, It was bad enough pushing my R1100RS across 4 lanes of the M61 when it broke down during rush hour.
Hope it's not too badly damaged.
I've got the old one out of the l322 if you want it. Recept for it from 2019, its land rover 90ah 850A it worked OK on the l322 but i had a bigger one so threw that inHad a mooch in the battery hole!!
It's all black with 'powerpak plus' in purple and red letters on the front, with a sticker on top that states 95ah 800A (EN) and that's it.. apart from a barcode. Definitely no date on the top of on the terminals and no other logo etc that i can see.
Never heard of powerpak
Appreciate the offer! But will i be any better off with a 4 year old battery that's not been used?I've got the old one out of the l322 if you want it. Recept for it from 2019, its land rover 90ah 850A it worked OK on the l322 but i had a bigger one so threw that in
No worries, its been used regularly- only took it off the car the weekend, just was fitted in 2019Appreciate the offer! But will i be any better off with a 4 year old battery that's not been used?
I'm away this weekend again and got a track day next Friday with work in between so I'm a bit scuppered for the next few weeks
Ah ok, for some reason i thought you meant you swapped out ages ago!No worries, its been used regularly- only took it off the car the weekend, just was fitted in 2019
Noo, just had a spare big un from the audi so dropped that in. Its in the garage, give us a shout if you want it when you're less busyAh ok, for some reason i thought you meant you swapped out ages ago!
Being a GS, they can take the odd drop without too much injury so it has a couple of scuffs, broken ignition lock and some cut wiring which we repaired last night so it's up and running again. Going for MOT hopefully today and then we can address any issues and get it up for sale. Annoying as he wanted to replace it anyway and had just almost completed his garage build (the door went on it the week after the bike was nicked - typical!).I wouldn't want to push one of them a mile, It was bad enough pushing my R1100RS across 4 lanes of the M61 when it broke down during rush hour.

Evaporative cooling from the petrol spray causes carbs to ice up. Used to be a real problem on my old Escort van.Picked up a bit of copper pipe from the hose place yesterday had to buy a metre minimum but ended up getting them to cut a smaller piece off that anyway and flare the ends slightly for me so I can bend it into a U and use it as a bypass for the leaking throttle body heater plate. Can't see much need for it with our weather even in our worst winters I couldn't see it really being enough to freeze over while driving.
So plan on fitting that later today.
