What did you do with your Range Rover today

Drove into town and back for a coffee and pay the credit card. Then blew the credit card this evening taxing him again.

Is it possible / easy to get to the washer pumps on the P38 without major dismantling? Want to swap the rear wash pump hose and plug onto the (hopefully working) headlamp washer pump. Rear window gets filthy without a working washer.
 
One problem fixed another problem appears driving earlier went over a speed bump and got airbag fault, nanocom says p008 drivers side air bag open circuit I believe also mentions it’s permanent tried clearing but still there. I assume a connector has jiggled loose somewhere.

Likely the one under the seat. Give it a wiggle and cycle the ignition, it should go away. More permanent fix is to cut/solder not you have to be careful with airbags, disconnect the battery for 30 mins before touching anything to ensure you don't set them off

Did try giving it a wiggle but no joy but admittedly was only a small wiggle as it’s dark and was waiting for the brother in law to finish locking up the school so I figured I’d give it a proper look tomorrow/weekend
 
Couldn't sleep so was outside at 2am with torch trying to locate the issue with airbag light , looks like it was the connecter behind the kneepanel under the steering wheel gave that a wiggle and it went away and was able to be cleared too via nanocom too. While i was there i noticed all the metal framework had been comepletly cut through assume to do heater matrix or something and they had just taped back up on the some of cuts.

also found that pretty much every plastic piece on the car is missing most of the screw/ fasteners or straight up broken where they would screw to hold the plastics in place, good job I happened to order some of the firtree sort on ebay earlier figuring I would probably need them.


Tried wiggling the cruise control switch into position as its out as Kermit said he couldn't get it in, can sort of get it to half go in the hole past one of the tabs but a small pull seems to make it pop back out again, is there a trick to getting them in?

Not guilty on butchering the metalwork i guess that was done when the heater matrix seals were done

I can't remember now but you might have to push in and twist the pedal switch, i thought about buying a new one but decided this one was probably damaged in the same way. So hard to get to
 
Anyone know how long it takes for soot to increase in a dpf? I'm starting to worry, again!
Since I've been checking, SDD reports remaining volume as zero, soot concentration as 12g, doesn't seem to change!

Pretty fast if you only do short journeys. Try going 10 miles and boot it on the way back. That should laminate the windscreen of the car behind with soot.

That was always fun when I used to have an X-Trail when you would get a white car right up the rear bumper, I would drop a gear and boot it and the white car would no longer be white.

it wasn't my choice, following a taxi doing 35-40 in a NSL, then doing the same speed in a 30 o_O wasn't able to pass
i've yet to have anything come out of the back when i boot it, apart from a small puff of smoke when the second turbo spins up for the first time.. obviously not had the drain mod done.
