Had a great weekend away in my L405 to Plymouth Devon and surrounding areas visiting friends and family. Averaged 40.3 mpg on way down and 37 mpg on way home today. Traffic both ways was good with no delays. It was on my list of things to get done and i also had my A/C re-gassed today so all is ice cold again inside the cabin. My cars system takes a whopping 1 kg of the new type gas R1342YF i think its called and its very expensive. Cost me £242 to have it done but by god has it made a massive difference and with only 100g's left in the system it was deffo due re-gassing. No leaks found and vacum/pressure test was 100% so great peace of mind there long term. She will be getting about 1000 miles added to her this month so plenty of good runs out before being cleaned up and polished. The L405 Rangie is one of the most comfortable cars i have ever owned and has great road presence too without being over cocky.

Had a intermittant suspension fault show today on my L405!!! After speaking with my LR specialist i use and booking it in for her minor service he assured me on what i explained to them it was just the EAS filter on the compressor which will need cleaning/replacing. A common issue he said and often over looked. He said it acts as a silencer too for the air as you cycle through the different height settings of the suspension. LR modified it under recall by drilling a small hole in it to allow the air to escape easier thus not throwing the fault light. It has self extinguished on its own too. All booked in and will all be done in a couple of weeks. " Phew " LOL

Got some new tyres fitted. Yokahoma Geolander G015. They look good. Fill the arches nicely. Makes me paranoid though, my old tyres seemed like coasters next to them. So one of them isn't 255/65/16, just not sure if the UniRoyals were too small, or the Yokahomas are just huge. Either way. One job ticked off.

Dishwasher?
Actually having solvent / degreased the loose / caked / softer stuff off and left it all to dry, the remaining baked looking stuff actually comes off really well with a brass brush. I just didn't feel like that yesterday so started servicing the tappets instead. Easy and reasonably quick to do, took photos so once I get them off the phone I may do a 'how to' post since I didn't find one when I searched. They are actually much cleaner than I had expected, but still benefitting from a bit of care.
