Picked my P38 up from the garage, with wallet a little lighter. ABS and brakes fixed and enjoyed the smooth refined drive home with V8 burble sound track, its amazing how quick you forget the woes of being a P38 owner.

4 new bags, sorted.
4 new height sensors, sorted.
4 new abs sensors, 3 sorted. 1 being a stubborn sob.
4 new maxxis 771's, top notch!

Can't fault these tyres. Had some good reports and good word of mouth. Throwing up lots of spray and leaving good lines on the road. Give a report of them when we have some snow.

Today, (well yesterday actually), our RR took us to flamingo land, Yorkshire. Whilst in the car park I noticed a nice example p38' complete with 'landyzone' sticker.
We have spent a week on holiday in yorkshire and amazed to see so many p38's going about.
Our p38 performed brilliantly as usual - over 1000 miles in last week and never missed a beat. Best car ever!!!

Finally managed to get the 'Airbag Fault' message sorted out - a combination of a faulty rotary coupler, an aged drivers airbag and some missing SRS warning bulbs in the dashboard. Who'd have thought it, eh?

Booked in for it's MOT at 9am tomorrow morning. Wish me luck...:amen:

Woo-hoo - my beastie only went and flew through it's MOT! :D

One advisory for a minor oil leak, but other than that, it's got a clean bill of health for another 12 months.

Can't begin to tell you how chuffed I am right now - if it wasn't for the crappy weather, I'd treat it to a damned good clean!

.....you wash the damn thing........do you suffer from OCD.....;).....;)....?

P

PS Congrats on the MOT

Erm, 'wash' might be too strong a term to describe what I do...chucking the occasional bucket of water at it doesn't really count (hardly a full valet!). Mind you, what really winds me up is dirty alloys - can't stand that - so maybe there is a touch of OCD in there somewhere! ;)

Anyway, the moment's passed now, so panic over...it'll be the other side of Christmas before my hose comes out again (fnaar fnarr)!

Had quite a busy day today and sorted a few things -fitted replacement HEVAC Unit bulbs (to replace a couple of blown ones) - didn't realise that it involved taking the console apart. Also fitted a wood and leather steering wheel I bought some time ago and pleased with that, also had a look at the glovebox to see if I can adjust it to close the gap it has when closed - no adjustment though :(

Tomorrow weather permitting it will get a wash and hoover out and wheels swapped front to back.

Have you got the HEVAC bulb numbers? I've got a couple out I need to do

Hi Doz,

I bought a "set" from Island 4x4 in Kent - if you go to their website and put "HEVAC JFC102550B" in the search box you will see the set I bought - £7 and odd pence or £14 with all the VAT and postage for next day delivery. I replaced all the bulbs as a matter of course. very pleasing when it all lights up :)

Darren.
