AutoAid Breakdown Recovery is the best, it covers the person and not the car, you can be in any car, and that included your spouse for free as well, I have used them a few time and its a good service
So was my reply. bloody VW owners.Due to the coronavirus emergency, My response may be delayed.
AA took me from an A road to a motorway services, where he dropped me off (end of his shift apparently) I had to ring them again to get another loader, (there was one in the car park) waited for an hour, he came over, took me to a dealership, they couldn't fix it, then rang them again to lift me home, the first guy drove into the dealership and then drove out again, the second one came, and he said he will fix it... he then borrowed tools from the dealership. couldn't fix it, he then bitched all the way to my house, I will never to use the AA againI’ve not used the AA for 20 years broke done near Harlow fella turned up said car knackered need lifting onto truck ok I said look over the rd there’s one of your trucks in the garage been parked there 2hrs he said it had to go through control so ok we then sat there for another 2hrs for truck to turn up you couldn’t make it up
I've heard similar with their Relay service.load you up and take you so far then change to another vehicle because they cannot go to far away from their home base. One vehicle was recovered and the owner said it took them 25 hour to get him home from Devon..AA took me from an A road to a motorway services, where he dropped me off (end of his shift apparently) I had to ring them again to get another loader, (there was one in the car park) waited for an hour, he came over, took me to a dealership, they couldn't fix it, then rang them again to lift me home, the first guy drove into the dealership and then drove out again, the second one came, and he said he will fix it... he then borrowed tools from the dealership. couldn't fix it, he then bitched all the way to my house, I will never to use the AA again

By which time patch one will want doing again.Did one patch of welding. I'm on a roll, at this pace I could have the other 2 bits done by 2026
Happened to one of brothers a few years back Broke down in Cornwall took 18 hours to get back to Sheffield. 5 different trucks he was put on One area to another, what a farceI've heard similar with their Relay service.load you up and take you so far then change to another vehicle because they cannot go to far away from their home base. One vehicle was recovered and the owner said it took them 25 hour to get him home from Devon..
Already passed that milestone I have been welding (among other things) it for about 6 years now, at a rather leisurely paceBy which time patch one will want doing again.
They are a total ripp off these days buddy and try it on all the time now. I was with them for 30 years and i think in that time i only used them about 5 times max and two of those times i bought new batteries off the chap. They were taken over by a big firm a few years ago and since then their prices have hiked and the level of service is **** so i binned them off and went with Green Flag instead and got full cover off them for about £75.Just had my AA breakdown renewal quote. Seems a bit steep at £170 for roadside+relay on any vehicle?
Any recommendations? Preferably from a firm that turns up in hours rather than days.
Yeah the relay drivers ( My mate is one of the ****s now ) LOL, now don't operate outside a 100 mile radius of there area so they can now get back home in time for tea and let the dog out before it ****es and ****s all over the kitchen floor.
