I thought shiny badge meant adverts went to advert hell, and we were left alone?
Are you still getting them? o_O

Did you check the Opt out of Ads box under preferences on your account?

I've just paid the website to not have ads, shouldn't have to add an ad blocker. Apart from which this device is on it's last legs, so don't have the space for more apps. :(

Finally made a start on the sunroof while waiting to figure out where my new driver board is going to come from.

Note well- those 3D printed sunroof guides you can buy off ebay aren't plug and play. They're a tad too snug in the sunroof rails (could just be the burrs that need to be sanded off) that they need to be ground down a little if they're not to snap under the strain between the tight fit and the sunroof motor trying to fight it. Can't be good for the sunroof motor either.

The other thing it needs doing is a little hole drilling to take a pin all the way. Most of it is there, but it's not deep enough. I'll try to post pics.

...... and as I struggle to get mine working again, another one bites the dust. This was a couple hours ago.

This would be the brake booster bursting and spraying brake fluid all over the hot exhaust manifold. Very common on the v8s out here. If memory serves, I think this makes 6 or 7 cars that died this way that I know of, 2 of which were before my very eyes.

Yeesh.

Yes, the latest wheeze from these phone criminals. You used to be able to store app data or even whole apps on your SD card. At some stage Android started to discourage it and some phone manufacturers disabled the option to force you to upgrade.

There is a way around it for some phones where you can extend into the SD card (with dire warning on speed opening apps - as if it would be an issue with faster technology) and in extremis you can go command level in the Adroid Debugging Software if you can find the drivers to connect from your PC. Again, many phone manufacturers don't publish theirs to try and stop you.

Even though i am not curently a P38 owner ( Still looking hard for the right one ) and still an arm chair supporter i have just subscribed to this worthy cause too. £14 is nothing considering what we get out of it on here info and banter wise. I will just hang my keyring on my Rolls Royce keys as its the same, RR. LOL

Managed to get the EKA for the wife's P38, not had a chance to test it yet as the battery is absolutely pancaked. I know it'll need replacing at this point, but it is a step in the right direction.

Had to try 2 different dealers though, originally rang Swindon and they really didn't give a ****, it wasn't new so it wasn't their problem. I just found myself on hold, waited 30 minutes and got bored of nothing.

So I tried Melksham instead (I am half way between both, so if I had to drive there it made no difference). Think it was 10 to 12 at this point so wasn't expecting them to put the world on hold for me. About 30 minutes later they called me back with the code.

Just need to work out how to bypass the bonnet open switch so I can jump it off my P38 and see if everything works. Exciting times.
