Cheers guys, indeed it is a dream of his to get 9500 for it. He sent me a link to one which had 14k miles on it which sold at auction for 17k recently. Ex Jersey car so an import. LOL.
He has answered all my many questions albeit it will never be worth his asking. Grrrrrrrr, maybe you should go and see it for me seeing as its on your doorstep.

Noticed a damp passenger footwell.. rooflining is sodden at the windscreen... Poured water down the sunroof drains and it drained straight to the floor!!! Assume that means the screen must be leaking :( the drain channel seemed fairly dry
On the flip side, the heated screen has magically started working again

Open the sunroof and just above where the center light cluster is, water can drip down the lip onto the support for the light cluster and run into the headlining. The light support on mine was jutting out a tiny bit and was drawing water in. I sealed the complete length of the lip and joint between the sunroof casing and outer roof panel.

This is on Elliott 38' for an example.

Also!!! If you very carefully remove the trim from the top of the screen you can check each side as there is a join between the side and roof panels. If there is any cracks in the factory seal the water willake it's way down into the car and drop onto the headliner, down the piller and into the foot well.
Be careful as the screen upper trim is fragile. ;)

£9500 is far too much money for ANY P38 unless it is a Linley or a Holland and Holland 40,000mi minter..
I have today found a H&H on ebay for 15k and also a Westminster for nearly 14k!!!!!!!

I have seen the Westminster last week and it is immaculate albeit needs jobs doing to make it mint. It has 57k on the clock and is at a main dealers who supplied it new back in 2002. 13 stamps in the book and a 4.0 petrol v8. Blenheim Silver.

The H&H has 106k on the clock and that is quite local to me so i might just go look at that BUT neither IMHOP are worth their asking prices.

The H&H would be worth a look, but would agree overpriced a bit. They used to do alot of bespoke work on them.

I still cant believe the P38s prices you are quoting, but then I havent followed closely, dont need another.
We have more vehicle's than license's in this house already:eek::).

Don't bother with the special editions they command a stupid price for what is a tarted up Vogue..

Condition is better than spec, the same can be said for the low milers, that is no guarantee of the condition.

I've seen RV8's with 67k that had a knackered cam and concave followers, and i've seen them with over 200k and been mint inside..

Good service history is a must.

However that is no guarantee the work has been done ;)

:D

Thd H&H is worth it as long as it has the gun draw fitted in the boot with a matching pair of 12 bores.:(:D.Sorry but my WiFi is dropping in and out.
