That's why you should use a lift to do it, makes life so much easier.
Of course it will ,you wimp. When I did mine in France I gave myself a hernia, didn't find out until years later.Bust my shoulder after lifting a Transfer box on to the back of the gearbox of a nice DSE ..

And that comes from an old wise voice.
Where as most of us now feel how we abused our joints when we were young.
Mine complain quite often after a life of manual/outside labour.

Depends what you mean by 'bust'. If you pulled a muscle, it'll heal. Torn ligaments, tendons, muscle, will heal without intervention but you will suffer for life, and it will get worse as you get older. # bone needs seen by a professional, again it will heal without intervention , but you will suffer.Bust my shoulder after lifting a Transfer box on to the back of the gearbox of a nice DSE ..

Suck it up, is no longer seen as an acceptable way of dealing with injury. It costs the NHS , and you, more in the long run.

I know your pain E'nery I didn't even have the use of a jack when I did mine, you'll have to stop the self abuse for a week or two.The Morse chain in the old one had snapped the output and she was on a slope so a jack was a no go!!
As for the lift, it would of been handy.
Lifting 126lbs off your chest isn't the smartest thing to do I admit, luckily being double that weight myself I managed to show it who's boss!
Job's done, and it drives well

Yeah, that sounds like the sort of thing I'd do.The little bracket holding the breather pipes on the lower manifold bolt on cylinder 6, people forget to put it back
Morning Keith, do you mean the axle and in my case the manual gearbox breather pipes? think it must have been left off years ago because I don't remember seeing one.The little bracket holding the breather pipes on the lower manifold bolt on cylinder 6, people forget to put it back

This genius left the lights on when I got home yesterday. Battery is as flat as a strap.
