Overtaken me! I'll be watching carefully. Unfortunately my other car needs sorting first.
I took the Range out for a run of about 5 miles on Wednesday after replacing the voltage regulator, I then reset the SRS warning light, so far it appears to be staying off.
You can replace the regulator unit without even removing the alternator from the engine, just disconnect the -ve battery terminal, a mirror on a stick is useful to help remove/replace one of the small bolts holding the regulator unit...
I also had to reset the windows....
