What Axle do I have?

Hi,

I have just started the restoration of our 1990 Land Rover 90, does any one know what axle this is, as I am pretty certain its not the original and want to make sure I order the right parts. I think the code is either 02L29870C or 02129870C. I have looked online and cant seem to find any reference to this number. I am obviously looking in the wrong place

Any help would be greatly appreciated

It's a front axle....



BTW - what has lead you to believe it is not original?

The reason I think it is not the original, is that it has yellow markings on it like the stuff you see at scrap yards, but nothing that makes any sense

They're factory markings. When we rebuilt my 1992 110 we found similar markings on the axle casings when they were cleaned up.

It's 22L, not 021 or 02L. They never made an axle with those codes.
Defender 90 front axle.

I can fix just about anything on an old Landy but when it comes to computers, laptops. I phones, Smart TV's it's well you know. Keeps my grown up kids busy sorting my cockups.
