Disco 2 What are these two hard black plastic pipes?

Was checking fuel temp sensor (2003 Disco 2 Td5) on the FPR and noticed these two pipes - hard black plastic and hook around and down at the top (like a shepherd's crook) with open ends! Have never noticed these until now! Can anyone tell me what they are - are they breathers? [The FPR was changed by my L/R mechanic several weeks ago.]

Hard to see but think its your axle or diff breathers

Those are your breathers for main box and transfer box.

Is it one breather then for the front diff and the other for the rear diff? Thought it had to be some sort of a breather - had just not noticed before!? Maybe when FPR was changed they might have been relocated higher up into the engine bay?

Front diff goes up to the inner wing, rear axle goes up to the top on the swan neck of the chassis rail above over the axle.
