I'm looking to bid on the Discovery in Bedford, If I win it I will use that on the 5th, therefore giving me some time to do the welding, wheel bearings brakes, lights on mine. Looking to get an MOT on it so I don't have to leave it up there.

Well I've won the action, it currently fitted with - 7.50 x 16 mud pluggers, I have some 31" tyres if I need more height. It's also fitted with a 2" lift kit so may end up sell this when I break it, or if it proves to be OK I may use it for a while. The engine has only done 109k

Just been to Whaddon to test out the Discovery, it's wet and slippy up there, some of the deep pits are full of water. Well what can I say about it? Didn't feel confident with the 750 tyres (will not do for where I normally go) So the Fedima's will be on for this Sunday. The engine runs sweet enough (only 109k) after running for over an hour the top hose was not pressurised. Good points: - it has a good heater, gearbox is ok does not crunch when changing gear, although whilst changing down from 5th you have to move the lever across a tad, but you soon get use to it.

I heard the bridge I put in had been dis-lodged! so I went down there today to put it back in place, I was surprised to find only 1 sleeper was in place. Two inches of water was pouring over it, the other 3 sleepers had floated over the top of it, lucky the bushes stopped them floating off to the waterhole!

Might be worth securing them together, how wet is it? gona see about sorting ma snorkle out for sun

You better try this is what happens to discos without a snorkel

You get waterlock? I've been avoiding the deep stuf.. but looks like it won't be too easy atm!

I'm surprised, it's growing on me (must be the comfort) it has a 40mm lift with medium springs, I offered the 35" Fed's up to it, it requires more trimming of the rear arches than I want to do - basically it would be a waste of the rear doors, they are too good to cut. It has 7.50 mud pluggers on the front and what I would call Std 7.50 on the rear, I went down the side of the field to look at the canal run, it took several attempts to get back to the top - it would only get up there flat-out in 3rd. It's slippy up so I have been tip toeing around, dont want to get stuck on my own, it not if I can jack it up like the Defender if stuck.
