The punches should arrive tomorrow - I hoping to get up there tomorrow to improve the winch challenge section. Needs some more rubble in the stream.

5 more truck loads of dirt & rubble have been added to the side of the bank, this will enable us to build the bank up higher!!!!!
 
Not long till the weekend event now: -

The refreshment van will be open on both days.

Started to plain the ruts on the main route down the hill over the bridge and across the top to allow std trucks and the lorry to take loads of rubble / dirt around the site.

Punches and cards have been purchased and sections have been identified, some easy some extreme.

New tracks have been opened, and the tree bank has been built up. (the rotten tree has now been removed!!!! didn't take must to push it over) I hoping to get the ruts at the bottom of the bank filled so you get a clear run at the bank!!!!!
 
Been up whaddon yesturday to help mark out of a minty bog and he's done well up there made some more tracks for the standard 4x4 to go around and some good tracks for the more extreme 4x4 like the bank it's steep and going to be fun getting up there, the winch challenge sections are coming along great.

Think the punch weekend is going to be good hopefully it will be a good turn out.
 
Another load added to "Mount Whaddon" Branches cut down from the bank as they hit your truck whilst tackling the bank

Another track opened that crosses the stream and heads toward the main bridge.

Fence removed just up from the winch challenge section thus opening another track.

18 punches put out ready for the 26th / 27th event
 
Just over a week to go, the punches have been set out: -

Orange Post: - 4 challenges within the area

Yellow Post: - 2 Challenges within the area

Pink Post: - 1 Challenge in the area.

Pink Post Punch attached with cord: - Actual Challenge.

Pink Post Punch attached with Blue twine: - Challenge each side of the post.

Giving 20 punches with the potential of completing 22 challenges.

Blue twine to attach the cards has been cut to length and is the bucket of the broken Cat.
Additional posts are in the bucket as well.

Some seem to want to camp some don't now! If you are going to attend for both days and leave site please keep your 2 day pass safe as you will need it on Sunday to prove you have paid
 
Spoke to Dougie today: - He said 80 Trucks / Quads turned up over the Two days, so an excellent turn out.

The site looked quite tidy so a BIG thank-you for keeping the car free of litter.

Loads asked when the next event will take place, Doug said it's up to his management team "I've been prompted" LOL. He seems happy with Mount Whaddon, so I will make it BIGGER and put more banks in.

So if you would like to suggest some dates I will arrange another weekend bash, I'll buy punch set 'B' so there will be more challenges for std trucks.

Thanks for your support, looks like Doug will let me do a lots of changes over the summer
 
We had a cracking day, nice to see some new areas opened up to make it more interesting, fair play on the effort you are putting in up there fella
