i think its related to when i wash it tbh, im trying to make sure its the case though, i saw a cheeky drip right where the blower is in the passenger footwell on the panel beneath it. maybe a case of pollen filter sealing.

I`ve got the same leak when only when it rains, started when I changed the pollen filters so I sealed up the covers several times but no joy!

Does my head in as I get quite a puddle on the front mats especially the passenger side.

Hello guys.
I'm new here - lot's of useful stuff but nothing seems to fit my 2 problems;

My 1994 P38. Absolutely soaking wet footwells, worse on rhs but bad on LHS. Insufficent coolant loss for heater, I think. Sun roof OK, Air con not on. Where are these pollen filter covers? I'm talking pints of water!

My 2002 L322. Misting up and inside windshield sodden when warm day followed by colder night. Noticed drip from drivers mirror. Can't see how to lift carpets. Sun roof, air con all seem clear

Any help/ ideas much appreciated :confused:

Had this problem on mine a few weeks back. First of all both pollen filters were knackered, also the fine gauze that covers the air intake just beneath the windscreen had perished. When in rained, the water simply accumulated in the blower intake duct in the footwell and seeped into the car.

Remove the glovebox and the panel beneath, undo the wiring plug and loosen off the cross-head screws that secure the blower to the housing. remove it, clean away any debris and mop up the water. Refit in reverse.

As regards the mesh, there is a LR replacement but it looks a pain to fit so I simply removed the screws that secure the bottom edge of the plastic screen surround by the wipers, cut some black aquarium sponge the size and fiddled about until it was in position to cover the air intake slots. No more puddles since.

The pollen filters are easy, but make sure they seat properly when you replace them and that the plastic cover forms a perfect seal othertwise you will be straight back to square one. many people like to run some transparent sealant around the covers when they are done just to make sure.

Hope this helps
