Having sailed up and down the west coast of scotland for years me and the missus decided to do it a bit different this year and have a bit of an exploration by landy.
We stayed in the oban bay hotel on the first night.
Avoid at all costs unless you dont mind the ambitious description of the facilities and the lack of any form of cleaning staff for the last couple of years.
The next night we stayed in the Galley of Lorne in Ardfern.
I highly recommend this establishment and it was a breath of fresh air compared to the dreary dirty oban bay.
Good food, good drink friendly staff and a whopper of a view from our room
anyway heres some pics
Crossing the Atlantic bridge onto the Isle of Seil (built 1793!!!)

Dont park that disco too close, the chassis will melt at the sight of all that salt water!!!!
Typical weather for Scotland, these were taken at 11 in the morning....

Easedale Island looks like a harsh place to live.
Thats the ferry to the island which is being attacked by a giant seagull

Had to stick this in for comedy value. Long walk or short drive? spotted near the crinan canal!

Coming back down the road was pretty spectacular. this is just after the rest and be thankful (which had roadworks at it)

After this wee trip ive invested in a gopro hero 3 to document our future jaunts so keep an eye out for some hd journey documenting!
Ill also try and take less photos with the disco in shot!!!!
