"Well Spaced Out" - Anyone bought from them?

Apols all. My spacers were 40mm (not 20) and the steering arms cleared the apertures in the inner wings by a hairs breadth, without modification. Also the standard flexis on the front were just long enough. I did have the tracking re set but did not use camber pins. Rear looked fine but front was slightly bow legged. Was not happy overall (tho acknowledge that only did half the job) and reverted back to standard, sold kit on ebay.

Mine was terrible in the wet! I was scared to go over 50! Camber pins improved it no end. You can tell its lifted, its not as nimble but I love it! I have thought about figuring out how much the lift brings the wheels in by and extending the suspension arms to get the geometry back to where it should be! I'm guessing its lost about 20mm width in total when you look at the arc of travel on the rear arms.

Same issues in the wet. You chaps have the knowledge and cash to achieve a good compromise and your FL's certainly look the part and I'm sure perform much better off road. The lesson for me was very much don't fix something that aint broke. On standard set up with 235's fitted I seem to have countered that lighter feeling that going 2WD gives over 4x4 and she seem rock steady on road. I'm gonna quit while i'm ahead!!

I learnt that camber correction is an absolute must, to the point that I think the kits should include them! It bugs me when you get people saying that you don't need them, it makes no difference, etc. to me it was dangerous and to say don't do it is bad advice, you're proof of that to the point that you removed the lift! Whereas you may have liked the lift and been happy with it if you'd had the adjusters?!?!

Agree on all points. At the time, I read somewhere that the clearance, strut to hub was not enough to make a proper correction and some modification, as in grinding was necessary - this not for me.

Strut to hub clearance is only an issue for big tyres like mine. You need a wheel spacer or different wheel to get extra room or the tyre hits the spring cup. The grinding refers to the steering arm clearance on full droop. I've beaten mine flat but I think I'm going to have to cut it and weld it to get enough clearance for mot man to be happy!

Nah he's seen mine and knows what I've had to do. He's driven it off road too:D

It's a fooking powerhouse oft road it really is. Mine won't be as good as I don't think I'm going to do a big lift so clearance will be an issue - but good tyres will make a huge difference and will allow the TC to really do it's job properly.

I'm still not sure, I wish I could see how it would look and how it would affect handling. My biggest concer with phat tyres is the gear ratio, mine feels underpowered in the upper gears as it is and that would only make it worse. Now if I fitted a K series turbo I'd give it some more thought ;).

Meant, the amount of movement (adjustment) possible hub vs strut when you remove lower bolt and replace with crash pin - not much!!

Where do u take it offroad - not much around here except extreme?

Sibbertoft quarry in Northamptonshire :). But mine will be used for greenlaning mostly, I enjoy the exploration more than balls out thrills but hey either is good :).

Mines on full adjustment and loads of room but my wheels have more offset!?

Ah, understood. Still not refitted prop for winter - can I get one o you chaps to do it ha ha. A couple of winters ago tried to get away with 2WD. not good.

Do you have the tools for the job? Decent sockets, torque wrench etc? I'm going to be doing mine in the next week or two with any luck.

Yes have the tools. Being lazy tbh, also this year went for blanking plate, so need to refit drive out of ird, not a big deal but should have done while the sun still shone. Green lanning appeals to me, will do some research.
