Welder?

I got the 151TE from machinemart and its ace about 220 notes.
Will do all you want and you can always turn the power down.

The reason for getting a big machine is it gives you a much better duty cycle at the lower settings. ie a 100A machine may have a duty-cycle of 70% at 100A where as a 150A machine may have a 100% duty-cycle at the 100A

duty-cycle
The time spent welding and the time spent cooling down.
ie 80% duty cycle over 10mins would be 8mins welding and 2 mins cooling.

Welder you have looks v.gd for me, will hve a look on fleabay tonight!

Bit of a subject change, but have seen the £38.99 40-160amp Arc welder in Aldi, and have read v.mixed feelings about it.

Any ideas of how suitable it would b for welding the footwells back into my series landy? I only really need to do them+top corners as chassis is pretty perfect, so dont want to spend loads on a welder that wont get used much.

That looks like a stick welder.
Not a easy thing to get used to infact unless you have been stick welding for a few years walk away.
You could do what one of my mates did, was to get a good on of flee bay use it and then put it back on flee bay.
Sort of like a short term rental.
Or just take it down to the local body shop and get them to do it.
