So I've replaced my front propshaft but still have a clicking sound, I thought it was the knackered cardan joint causing it but no, it's like I have a stone or nail in driver side front tyre but I've had a bloody good look and nothing is there.
If I Jack the wheel up and spin it I get nothing, no clicking, no rubbing that I can find, it only happens when it has weight on it so it's hard to find.
The hub was replaced a few months ago but I am wondering if it might be the bearing, it also had new front disks and pads which are all bedded in and applying the brakes makes no difference other than slowing the vehicle and slowing the clicking, it only happens on one spot and even at a couple of mph I can here it.
Anyone any ideas?

I had something like that on an Omega many years ago.
Turned out to be the age or some breakdown of the tyre, been on it for years because of occasional use, good tread and everything.
If you could identify the wheel and swap with spare, you may test this.
Can you see the age of a tyre marked on it I wonder? I'm off to look!

+1 for this idea, you need to eliminate the tyre, if it's still there with spare on could be wheel bearing which has a flat spot maybe that causes the noise when under load.. also I would jack up the wheel from under the axle so the suspension is NOT dropping.. could it be something on the wheel or hub hitting the brake pipe that is then clear when you lift up the car and the suspension drops? just a thought

Ah I did wonder if it was the tyre, it has tread but it does look a bit lifeless, well old yes, no cracks but you could be onto something there, I will pop the spare on and see if it stops happening, as for something catching I have jacked up on axle as well as chassis and cannot find anything that would catch in any position the wheel / tyre is in.
I will do that today, thanks peeps :)
