Hi newbie to the forum here i need some help with the thermo top I have fitted on my 110. I have fitted the t piece valve thingy in and a new type multi control. Everything seems fine but the heater will not run for more than an hour or so in one go. It stops. Press the button again then it's away again. I have the control set to permanent mode and I've run with a battery charger on as well. Thinking the battery may be to weak to run the heater for more than an hour ( I have a leisure battery on a split charge ) I really want this to run until the battery is flat as I'm planning on using this as a night heater type of thing. I'm sure someone else must have come across this? Or am I the only person who wants to use the heater for sleeping ?? Any ideas or experiences?

Thanks in advance

If the thermotop turns off it is usually for one of two reasons - 1) the flame has gone out, this can be caused by fuel starvation - are you sure you have the correctly rated pump for the device ? or 2) It has overheated, this can be caused if the waterflow is insufficient. The thermotop C has its own integrated water pump, so this shouldn't be an issue, but if it is installed in the incorrect location such that the vehicle thermostat can interfere with waterflow then this can occur

hi, thanks for replying.. the fuel pump is a genuine webasto one.. ive done some fiddling with it and well, ive got a water leak... not sure where it is yet I think its the water pump.. I didn't know it was there and the water level had gotten a little low so as you correctly said the device was running shy of water, over heating and cutting out.. ive not had time to find the water leak yet... but to your knowledge the thermotop heaters can be left on until they run out of power ? I really want this set up so I can sleep in the truck if I need to..
