Hi,
My Series 1 restoration project is going well and I have turned my attention to a couple of little jobs.
I want to wire up the water temperature gauge, my gauge is probably out of a Series 2 like several other parts on it.
When I got my truck it was a dismantle abandoned project and amongst many missing items was the entire wiring loom.
I know the gauge is fed from the voltage regulator, the back of the gauge has 2 space connectors so I presume the output from the voltage regulator goes on 1 and the feed from the temperature sensor is connected to the other.
I am worried that if I put the live feed on the wrong terminal that I might damaged the gauge so I am looking for confident replies as to which wires goes where.
I have attached a couple of photos of the gauge, front and rear.
Please note that the photo of the back of the gauge is upside down as I folded it down to take a photo in situ.
All of the wiring diagrams that I have looked at are no help.
I have the same doubts over the fuel gauge as well, which appears to be the same as in 2 connectors which are not labelled up and presumably 1 is a feed from the voltage regulator and 1 from the fuel tank sender.
Thanks, Karl.
