water in boot tool box well

My freelander has just over past few weeks noticed water in the tool box cubby hole.lifted carpet out dried and cleared all water up.left parked up for week after being completely dry. Day of rain and its wet again.the boot carpet isnt wet any part of boot floor its just collected in the tool box area whats causing this as roof osnt leaking neither is window.

Most leak from tail door glass to seal area
Some leak at the l/h middle seal, it distorts, look for water marks where it's running in
Water will find the lowers point
But yes, the easyist and cheapest to poke a screw driver the through the carpet and if you look under car there is a body seal, ( round grommet ) in the floor of the cubby box, slide a flat blade screwdriver in the edge and will let water out...

Will dry out but if you prop the box lid up, it will dry lot quicker ...

Found the little leak.around the hinge area on the boot floor it was folded over so water is running in from side of window down seal gettin the fold and straight in to tool box

if it carries on getting wet ,,,,,

try and adjust the catch , will pull the door abit tighter , if u get someone to sit in the back of the car, whilst another person holds a hose pipe at the back door u can then check around the entire door

also put the hose underneath as it can come through on the welding of the boot box area

have a look at the back door glass, make sure the gap is equal both sides, as its common for the glass to be tight on the lh side and touches the plastic and doesn't allow the glass to fully close,

check behind the back door panel, at the bottom of the door the drainage holes can get blocked , just use the tube that's fitted on a tin of wd40 , blast it through the holes ,
