OK i've searched the forum but not really found anything that confirms why my sun visors had water on them after rain.
1998 TD5, no sun roofs and no roof rails.
The windscreen seal needed doing by applying black sikaflex along the top of the seal and under the corners.
I've also put clear sikaflex along the roof gutters and particularly to the front corners.
However, all these areas are below the level of the sun visors so i'm still unclear as to how water had seemingly accumulated on the visors where each of the screw fixing holes for the overhead storage are.
Is it because the wind drives it up there?
Is the higher moisture/humidity from the leak causing condensation on the roof that is getting above the visors?
Do I still have another source of a leak at a higher level?
The only other source may possibly be the alpine window seals but do they leak?
The car is parked on the relative flat overnight and since sikaflexing the windscreen seal and gutters, the headlining front edge is now dry.
We have some awful weather forecast this week so I will know if its cured or not but does anyone have an opinion on how water was getting above the sun visors?
