Went to see a 4.6HSE today. I was armed with every "what to look for" from you guys on this forum. Suspension, electrics, engine ( Bosch one) all seem fine. It is a v plate '99. The flap for the fuel was not working. Air con ice cold and heater working. No warning lights or messages.
Could not see any major leaks from the engine.
Now the bit I can't understand. Whilst on the forecourt which was not level I noticed fluid dripping from under the vehicle it was quite a bit. I checked the reservoir which was full so took it for a test drive. Drove about mile and a half and stopped tested suspension which was even quicker as car has been sitting for a week. Looked underneath and again a puddle of fluid.
I crawled under to catch what was dripping which is water no colour, no smell and warm. It is dripping from directly under the centre console.
I went on the forum but can find nothing, loads about wet foot wells etc,.
Help please as I have viewed a few and will probably buy this on Monday if its not too serious. I am handy with the spanners, which apparently I'll need to be with a P38
Thanks in advance

Sorry don't know the P38 personally but did you have the air conditioning on? On many cars they can dribble quite a lot and is normal.

Thanks guys, I had the air con on on the forecourt but turned both sides to 19 during test drive. I just seemed like an awful lot. When I say that I mean a constant drip, not pouring. I am getting the car for £2500 it is pretty tidy inside and out with FSH landrover and specialist. I can't wait to get my hands on it. I know it will give me problems but feeling positive and will just accept them as part of the experience.
Thanks again, this is my first post but I bet it won't be my last. Lol

Did the bloke on the forecourt see you looking at the puddles? If he did tell him your concerned, had a word with a mate "who knows about these things" and knock a monkey off the price.
