Hi all , iv got a 1998 Freelander Xei and iv recently had new modded head gasket , new head , pistons , cam kit but after a few weeks the water keeps disapearing but there is no water on floor and cant see any leaks , the only other thing i can say is after a 90 mile trip i got out of car and heard water , looked under to see it running out , lifted bonet and the rad filler cap was kinda boiling over ??? any ideas thanks , ( im a new landy owner )

Get garage to do a sniff test over coolant bottle with exhaust gas analyser-if Hydrocarbons jump from bonnet background= head gasket, liner issue

Do your fans kick in? Replace the pressure cap out of routine as they have a small relief valve in, which has been the woe of many a kseries owner. Make sure you get the absolute correct cap, not some £3 one from a motor factors.

put new pressure cap on and yeah qualified mechanic did all works on car , yes re torqued , had thermostat off and checked it and working fine , no blockage in radator , tried to bleed system and no air locks ( i think ) could it be water pump ? and there are stress lines on rim of expansion tank ?? think the person i bought it from has sold me a money pit
