Ladies and gentlemen i had this problem on my way to work this PM.Water was being lost from my engine through the radiator tank .What can i do and whats the problem. This is the second problem in just less than six months.

I am not feeling well cause of this problem cause i ended up calling emergency services on the motor way and those traffic guys were at hand to help me but water kept on getting wasted through the water tank which fills the radiator.

Can you help or any suggestions please?

It is coming through the tank cap and my tank is not split at all. There is no other suspected leaks at all and i am wondering what might this be.

It sounds like there is more to that than just a cap.Because water is literaly coming back into the tank and leaking unless otherwise i am not putting everything into logic which states that pressure may cause the same thing.

check the expansion tank for cracks around the neck, if in doubt, replace both, they're not expensive.

If you have a 1.8 or V6 then there needs to be a good seal on the cap as the engine runs at over 100 degrees, the pressure in the cooling system raises the boiling point of the coolant, if theres no pressure then the coolant will boil when the engine gets to operating temperature.
