I've had warranties in the past & personally think they are a waste of money. The clause 'fair wear & tear' gives the provider every excuse to not to pay out & of the three claims I made over the years (2 different vehicles) only one was honoured & that didn't cover the total cost. Many workshops don't like them as the providers often only pay a percentage of the labour cost, which can leave them out of pocket.

I think the thing with warranties is to make sure YOU know exactly what is covered and under what circumstances. Not what the salesman wants you to think is covered.
Taking into account wear and tear / service intervals / service providers / mileage. etc.
Unfortunately it is definitely one of those "READ THE SMALL PRINT " purchases.
Then you have to weigh the cost against what you think wil potentially go wrong , looking at similar vehicles.

My 110 came with a 'warranty' it wast not worth the paper is was written on. It clearly stated in that the company would source the cheapest parts available and would under no circumstances use genuine parts. Along with a bunch of clauses such as it had to be serviced every 5k with genuine filters etc..., no modifications what so every could be made (this came right down to the type of tyres!) in the end I binned it. Even if something did go wrong and the claim was successful I wouldn't want them doing the work. As I expect it would just fail again couple months later.
Save your money. The money you would normally spend on the warranty just put into a separate account, at least if something does go wrong you've got a little chunk of cash to go toward it.

On the money saving expert forum they aren't very complimentary about Warren wise. I'd swerve both, spend some money on tools and keep an eye on me motor, if it went wrong I'd fix it.

I think that by the time you're really going to need an extra warranty, you've probably spent more than the repair would cost in the first place, and then there's also the fact that many of these companies don't like older vehicles, and they're going to really rub yer nose in it if they will consider an older vehicle.

Tried a few years ago and had gearbox fail. warranty found the fault was a washer in the box.
Cost of washer, 30p. Cost of labour and other bits of relevance (gaskets) came to £650.
Got price of washer, but nothing for labour and bits.
Never again.

I used Warrantywise for my Vogue. I managed to barter with them and got it 300 quid cheaper than a LR warranty. Having said that the LR one would cover yours so try them. It is excellent but pricey.
